It is with deep regret that we share that Landmark Hospital of Cape Girardeau will be closing its doors in the coming weeks due to unsustainable healthcare market conditions.
Since opening in February 2006, our hospital has been proud to serve Cape Girardeau and the surrounding communities with highly specialized long-term acute care. For nearly two decades, our dedicated staff, physicians, and partners have cared for thousands of patients with compassion.
As we move through this transition:
✅ Current patients will be safely discharged or transferred to the most appropriate clinical settings.
✅ Employees will continue to be supported through the process.
✅ Families needing future LTAC care can access our Landmark Hospital of Columbia location.
We are deeply grateful to our staff, patients, families, and community for trusting us for almost 20 years. Cape Girardeau has been home to a hospital that has made a lasting impact, and as this chapter comes to a close, the legacy of care, compassion, and healing remains.
